Toca Nature | New Creative Nature Game by Toca Boca with Forest Animals
✔ iPad + iPhone | kids app for ages 4-7 years
Toca Nature is a nature game by the Swedish App developers Toca Boca, which turns out to be an interactive game world with various habitats and animals. We have taken a explicit trip around the Toca Nature landscape and are now going to tell you all about it, in our review below.
Pure Interactive Nature
The game world of Toca Nature only awakens via the creative intervention of children. At the beginning, there are only a couple of trees standing on the alterable landscape. Further trees, mountains and waters can simply be added to the game world. As soon as the trees were planted, the first animals appear, that inhabit the lovely game world of Toca Nature.
Forest Animals and their Habitats
There is a total of five various animal species that can be discovered in Toca Nature. There are bears, deer, foxes, beavers, wolves, rabbits and woodpeckers, all of which inhabit a different type of forest. With the choice of forest species, kids also get to decide, which animals can appear in their world more often and where to find them.
Feeding and Studying
Just like all other Toca Boca apps, Toca Nature also hasn’t got a specific goal, but instead let’s children have the opportunity to freely explore the app or to determine their own game goals. Another kind of fun occupation apart from creating and shaping a game world is feeding the animals with nourishment, which you have to harvest first. Berries, nuts and mushrooms grow in different places and fishes can be caught in the waters. Those who feed the animals, will help them grow and possibly to also find some affectionate friends.

Toca Nature | Kids App Rating
Toca Nature is a very interesting new release kids app, which could captivate our kids pretty easily. The technical implementation is brilliant and even younger children can easily cope with the navigation and the 3D world.
The faint colors and the edgy graphics however don’t appear so natural and it takes some getting used to for a nature game. We are however, really fond of the periodic change of day and night, which also provides for lots of alternation in the game. All in all there are lots of things to discover in the game, but as a whole, less than we actually expected. For our taste, the game world could have been even bigger – this way however, it does remain manageable for younger children.
Toca Nature as a whole, is a very interesting digital toy, which offers a rather cool designed game world, that kids get to explore and change, by using their own imagination. Exploring and discovering is one of the most appealing attractions of the game i.e. regarding the various habitats and food supplies.
