Princess Lila | beautiful educational kids app for little girls
✔ iPad + iPhone | kids app for ages 2-5 years and above
Princess Lila by Octo Mini is a brand new and very cute app for girls, which offers some fun and educational mini games, in an enchanting kingdom. The game is aimed at kindergarten kids and is immediately available for iPad and iPhone. Read in our review below as to what your kids can expect in princess Lila’s kingdom.
Beautiful graphics
Kids are introduced to princess Lila in a short story. Princess Lila is looking for her lost friends, after a mischievous little wretch has hidden all of the inhabitants of the kingdom, in colorful Easter eggs. As you can already see on the screenshot, the app has been illustrated with wonderful graphics and beautiful settings, which we immediately liked. We’re also fond of the medieval music and sounds.
Landscape with 10 educational games
The mini games are started via an interactive landscape map. The map is pretty empty at first, but at regular intervals, kids will win back figures, which will bring the kingdom back to life, thereunder village inhabitants, animals and mythical creatures.
Kids can play on the landscape with the figures, which also has it’s own game value, as soon as the first friends and animals have returned. Besides, animations and surprises can be discovered whilst searching. All of the mini games start of with the happy sun, which all provide plenty of alternation and typical educational kindergarten contents.
Counting games – Various objects such as fruits are counted by children and can be fed to the sun.
Letters – simple words are spelled with a little guide.
Sorting games – fruits and diamonds are sorted by size and kind.
Kids can also play a game of fairytale-pairs, connect points, feed animals, play a maze game and even build little castles.
Game profiles and difficulty levels
Thanks to three different game profiles, it is possible for several kids to use the app and save their personal progress. Depending on the preschool age, the difficulty level can also be varied and adjusted with three levels.

Princess Lila | Kids app rating
Princess Lila is a very cute, friendly and educational games collection for toddler, preschoolers and kindergarten kids, which might draw more attention to little girls. The audiovisual design is wonderful and has been professionally and pleasantly designed. With it’s range of games and difficulty levels, this brand new app becomes interesting to preschool kids aged 2-5+ years and can only be warmly recommended.
We do however have one improvement request. It would have been nice to have accessed specific mini games via the general map and not randomly. This way it is basically by chance as to which game is being started via the sun. However, games can be included and excluded in the settings, if you wish to determine the points of focus yourself and perhaps want to temporarily want to use number and letter games only.
