✔ iPad ✔ Android | Kids app for ages 4 – 6 years
Do you already now the educational games of Mia? The educational learning games with the adorable little mouse, have been around for a few years for PC and MAC and now, Mia are celebrating their debut on the Apple App Store. With “Mia – The Happy Helper” the app developers Kutoka Interactive are publishing the first Mia app for the iPad and Android tablet and we took a closer look at the game. Find out as to what kind of challenges are waiting for children ages 4-6 years, in our review below.
Mia’s iPad & Android Tablet Adventure
With Mia’s first adventure, kids get to help the little mouse to do some errands for a General Store. The short story line is told by a very friendly narrator, who also explains all of the games to the kids thoroughly.
Kids come across the educational games by moving Mia through a panoramic landscape, that can be scrolled sideways, where each educational activity was embedded. In order to continue the path to the General Store, all missions and challenges need to be completed one after the other. Here are a couple of examples:
Example No. 1: Collecting berries
Kids need to collect a certain amount of various berries for the Store with Mia. The berries are then simply dragged into a cart, which Mia needs to bring back to the General Store.
Example No. 2: Learning to Play the Piano
One of our favourite challenges of this Mia app is the piano-game. Kids easily learn to play some simple, short tunes with a small virtual piano. Falling balls indicate when to press the correct piano key.
Example No. 3: Logical rows
Also a challenging logic game awaits children in Mia’s app, where shapes and colors need to be entered via a given code. As a reward, a big slice of cheese awaits Mia.
A Total of 10 Games!
In order to continue the journey to the General Store, kids need to successfully complete a total of 10 challenges at the various learning points. Afterwards, each game can be individually selected and can also be played with a more tricky difficulty level.
In the following YouTube clip, we quickly skip through the Mia app and show you some short insights of the other activities that are waiting for kids to be discovered.
