Gozoa- The Key Quest is a mature platform Game (Jump and Run) with everything that goes with it. There are various levels with many rocky outcrops, canyons, jump aids, floating platforms, fierce opponents, shift levers and collectibles. The level exit is indicated with a golden key, but until you’ve reached this, some time will pass, because the levels are huge – and there is a lot to be done, after all kids do not only have to flip the switch to redirect laser beams, and collect as many gold suns and diamonds, they also need to solve many arithmetical problems. Phew!

Fun and educational

Gozoa – The Key Quest grows with your kids and covers all of the arithmetical problems from elementary school. Each world can be played in 6 different difficulty levels. In the easy modes, subtractions and additions are practised and in the more difficult levels, kids get to practise multiplications and divisions. The mathematical problems fit neatly into the gameplay and come across the children at different points throughout the levels, mainly at stopovers, where 10 problems need to be solved at once. Every now and then kids get a single math question after a jump on the opponent – and if they answer correctly, valuable shiny diamonds wave, which we’ll talk about later on.

Also in this Gozoa app, kids are able to collect items again, this time they can decorate and furnish Gozoa’s house. But, whether it’s a carpet, furniture or a toy for Gozoa – all items cost diamonds and those can of course, only be found and won in the levels of Gozoa – the Key Quest and are not bought via in-app purchase.

Our kids are simply amazed with the new Gozoa app and we are too. A whole series of positive aspects have not yet been said, for example, the really good navigation via D-Pad and the professional English narration, which explains all of the math problems and other features. Besides, we also like the fact that there is no game over and that the opponents can’t do you any harm. All this makes sure that the game atmosphere is free of frustration, so that kids can playfully learn and practise their maths, whilst having lots of fun instead.

New levels have been announced

Our only point of criticism at the moment is, that only two worlds can be played. Even if the app is clearly an “Editor’s Choice” we would like to wait with the final rating, until all of the levels are playable, so that Gozoa is able to finally rescue his friends from the dark castle, where a villain has put them.

Nevertheless, we can surely recommend this app even at this point. Gozoa – The Key Quest is permanently available for the price of $ 1.99, which is an awesome bargain.
