Funny Yummy is one of those kids apps, that we become really enthusiastic about. Beautiful illustrations, cute animals and happy-funny scenes characterize this new picture book app and truly delights us in the long term. Find out what to expect in this Funny Yummy kids app in our review below.

Feeding adorable Animals

Several animals live within and around a quaint house, who seem to get ravenously hungry around lunchtime. Kids encounter a very sleepy cat, a droll hedgehog, a literate mouse, a curious fish and two funny birds, who all seem to get the munchies in six of the interactive scenes. And even with the food being within reach, they do require subtle help of the children to get to their food.

Besides the beautiful graphics, we also immediately take note of the gentle animations through which the animals come to life. Some animations run automatically, whereas others are only activated by the kids input, so that children are always involved in the actions. Even without any input, sooner or later, the animal protagonists will catch the kids attention after all. We’re really fond of such details and it’s those that makes the app stand out from others.

Right through the house

Not only the animals vary, but also the places of the interactive scenes provide plenty of alternation. Whilst the cat is taking a nap in the lounge, the mouse uses the opportunity to fill it’s tummy with cheese snacks. Other animals can be met in the garden, where the hedgehog is waiting for the windfall and the frogs are on the look-out for flies to catch by the pond. The order in which the scenes are being presented varies and many more little surprises will be discovered, once kids have thoroughly searched the pictures, as usually, you seem to find more during the next round.

Funny Yummy is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful picture book apps available for iPad. The short lunchtime stories with the cute animals are timelessly beautiful and are told in the most calm and soothing way. Even though the stories are taking place during lunchtime, Funny Yummy is still suitable as a Good Night story with it’s harmonic design.
