Forestry | Beautiful kids app with forest animals

Kids apps with cute animals are pretty popular and a really nice representative of this category, has to be this beautiful new release: Forestry, which works without narration and still tells a whole series of anecdotes of different forest animals. You can test the app for free – the full version costs $ 2.99 and is offered as an in-app purchase. We’re now gonna tell you if it is worth a purchase or not.
Recently in the forest
A total of six animal friends inhabit the quaint forest, where they spend their days together. If you have downloaded the full version, your kids get to choose between 15 various activities, that they can play with the animals. Kids get to play two to four individual game scenes with each animal, where they can either go on a forage hunt or complete other interesting tasks. You can pick a game scene on a beautiful panoramic landscape, which can be scrolled sideways, where the animals are already waving to the children.
Hungry, busy and tired!
Forestry is basically a search game, as various objects need to be found in the game scenes. Besides the typical food in the forest, such as mushrooms, berries and insects, other little foresters can also be discovered, which make the scenery come to life with lovely animations. The navigation is simple and intuitive: It is also enough to simply tap on to the screen at the right moment, when fishing with the bear, in order to catch the fish that jump out of the water with a fishnet.
Once kids have found all of the objects or have solved the respective tasks, they get to pick a new figure if they like and also a new scene. There are no such things as set goals or game overs in Forestry.
Night scenes provide for plenty of alternation, where some of the animals need to be tucked into bed. The nocturnal hedgehog however, needs to catch it’s prey during the night and kids therefore get to play a sorting game with him: Which caterpillar need to go into the tin? A hint is given to the kids via thought bubble.

Forestry | Kids App Rating
Forestry shines with wonderful graphics and friendly mini games with adorable forest animals. A few game scenes are a bit short for our likes or maybe too simple, i.e. when you only need to run from one side of the screen to the other with the moose as a rambler. Even if there are still some other bits and bobs to discover, the task as such is solved quite quickly.
We prefer scenes that build up on one another, for example the beaver game. Before the beaver gets to take a relaxing bath, he needs to build a dam in the river first, whereupon he gets to take his well-deserved bath in the fresh river water.
All in all, Forestry is a very nice app for young children, also for it’s beautiful graphics, which illustrate the lives of forest animals, with short games in a really funny way.
