Cheese Luise | funny Swiss app for toddlers and pre-schoolers

Cheese Luise is a pretty funny kids app with many funny animations in comic style and quality. The app has been developed by the Swiss app developers Pixadoo, which may explain why the games are presenting the authentic life on a farm in the Swiss Alps. You can test the app for free and if you like it, you can unlock the rest of the content via one in-app purchase, which is what we did of course.

Feeding, washing and puzzling animals

Without beating around the bush, kids find themselves infront of a hungry goat right after the app has been started, to start their first mission. The app works without text or audio response, which also means that kids will need to try out and experiment a little first.

A shelf full of food is placed besides the goat with all sorts of greens and other edible foods. The goat likes most of the things, but some of them he doesn’t. Kids have found out quickly, which food will make the billy goat pull a funny face – which is very amusing. This also explains why there is a bucket standing right next to the shelf: all the food that the goat doesn’t like goes in there.

Comic animations & short stories

In the full version, kids will also meet a dog, a horse and other animals besides the goat Luise. Only by interacting with the digital playfellows, you will get to see the special and interesting animations. We especially like the short stories, which are told only by it’s mini games, without an narrator or text.

A bit more polish please

As much as we like the app with it’s funny animals, we still think that the app needs a bit more polish. The transitions are still a bit rough between the games i.e. the games are led into an endless loop. We’d prefer it, if kids were led back to the selection screen after they’ve finished a game series. Some background music and a little introduction would have been nice too.

Cheese Luise kids app rating

Cheese Luise is a charming kids app, which has only just been released on the App Store. We had to laugh at the mini games more than once and they are truly amusing, which is reason enough as to why we recommend this app to you. However, the design is still a little too sober and needs to be worked over again.

Tip: try it out for free! The in-app purchase has been provided with a child-safety, which is great!
