Yum Yum! is a very uniquely designed app for toddlers and preschool kids, which was produced not only with a great sense of imagination and affection but also with a good sense of creativity.
The onomatopoeic name says it all really, as children can feed the cute and wonderful animated animals and explore the beautiful surroundings with this interactive picture book app for the iPad and iPhone. Not only the awesome graphics and animations are unique, also the whole atmosphere of this app is absolutely glamorous!
This toddlers app has a start screen, from which five additional screens branch off.
Kids can therefore freely decide which animals they would like to feed first. Below, you can see the start screen which has been most beautifully designed in a very unique style.
When all animals have been fed, they’ll all get together and happily sit by the bonfire at night.
The squirrel lives in a big tree and simply loves his acorns. By the way, Yum Yum! is not only a graphical delicacy but also has been beautifully narrated. At the beginning, kids get asked whether they’d like to listen to the narration or not, don’t you dare miss out on the funny rhymes, which introduce the sweet residents of the garden, which have also got the voice of the narrator. It’s a simple “must have app” and “must listen to”!
One really special feature which you can see in all pictures, is the combination of nature and a little strangeness which awakens curiosity, such as a shower over the bird’s nest.
Kids and toddlers are supposed to be curious and explore, experiment and discover!
Who’s sitting in the dark, waiting for their cue? This app has many little surprises and also musical features which are also fantastic. The only thing we would find to grouse about with extraordinary kids apps, is that all those apps eventually come to an end. That way, we always want a refill.
Kids always seem to solve that problem and simply play the game or story over and over again, which also shows how much fun the app must be. Children love to find all the interesting details and funny animals, maybe they missed out on something? Either way, it’s as simple as that.
