Whale Trail Junior – brand new free kids app for iPad and iPhone
Some app wishes really do come true: The brilliant Whale Trail is now also available for kids, with their great and fun junior edition.
The fantastic flying whale app for iPad and iPhone, has been adjusted to fit into the children’s category and is practically a giveaway filled with fun and entertaining moments.
The app-developers have been brave enough to drop the “game over” element of the original whale trail game, to not only make it easier for kids, but also to make it possible for kids to experience a great sense of achievement.
Whale Trail Junior is now definitely one step ahead, and showing the world how to play an entertaining and fun game, completely stress-free and without any frustrations.
In case you don’t know the original whale trail gameplay yet, here’s a short explanation of the game:
One day, Willow the dearest whale, decided to take off to the sky because down in the deep ocean was the very mean octopus named Baron von Barry.
The flight characteristics of the whale are pretty awesome, as long as it continues to eat many colourful krill, which are also – strangely enough, up in the sky. Kids can also collect all the stars which will help them to unlock new whales.
You need to steer the whale passed the dark clouds whilst colllecting all the krill without crashing down. As soon as you crash down, the game usually ends in the original adult version. This outcome wants to encourage you, to buy the in-app purchases, which will give you special features to improve your whales qualities etc.
There are no in-app purchases in the Junior version, nor does the game end if the whale falls down the sky.
This wonderful kids app surely cuts down on the in-app purchases but not on it’s content!
All extras, which you normally need to unlock in the original version first, are freely available for kids. This is fantastic, as kids have the opportunity to play with Willows friends too.
We have all rights to be jealous about the range of whales and the segmentation of the whole of the route in each level.
That way, kids can discover the secret, last worlds and skylines of this game, where us adults need to work pretty hard, to be able to achieve this level.

Just a quick reminder of the recently published iBook for kids, which you can find in the menu of the app. The first whale trail iBook is only available in English and great fun too.
The app developer suggests whale trail junior for kids of the ages 3-6 years. In our opinion, this kids app can still also be played by kids at the ages 9+, because you can really learn how to steer the whale with the controls of this app. In case your child may be a little unchallenged, you can always buy the original whale trail game.
We simlpy love this fantastic kids app! This app inspires kids to sing along to the fantastic whale trail song, which we learned to love quickly!
We think that the Junior version has been successfully transformed.
We hope, that Whale Trail Junior inspires other casual game app-developers, to produce kids app versions in the same kind of way.
