Toca Store | Store Play Set for kids – to play together on the iPad or iPhone

Toca Store has to be one of the best and most educational apps of the Toca Boca series. Kids ages 4+ can now play Storekeeper or Customer with their friends or family members, with this fantastic interactive Toca store app for the iPad and iPhone.
This is awesome as kids or yourself do not have to tidy up afterwards, kids have a wide range of items and goods to choose from and once they’re done playing, you only need to close the app down.

The Storekeeper is allowed to pick the items and products first, which he/she wants to present to the customer. Kids get to choose their goods from a wide range, which are listed and presented in a catalogue. Kids get to pick various items starting from a toothbrush up to some cute dolls and chocolates. There have also been some various updates so that even more items are available to choose from. Kids can choose up to 5 different items for their store, which are all placed on their very own spot, so the fun can begin.

You greet one another and the customer takes a look around the store to pick his favourite item first. Perhaps he needs a little advise first before purchasing the good? Kids can of course decide themselves, whether or not they want to add a little conversation or not.
After the washing-up liquid or Lolly has been chosen and placed on the counter, the shopkeeper enters the price of the item in the cash register. The price can be either negotiated or just set. Kids can freely decide how to play their roleplay together.

Of course kids will have play money to pay for their items. The coins will need to be counted and placed into the cash register. After paying, the item can be placed into the shopping bag of the customer. If the customer has some money left in the purse, he/she can buy some more items if they like and simply continue with the shopping spree.

After playing this round, kids can also swap roles and it is great fun to watch them or even do a little shopping with them.

Kids get to know the whole shopping process, the resource management, basic maths skills, negotiating and taking turns. Kids get to learn to play with each other in a sensible way and most importantly get to learn to handle money, counting and the value of goods.

Toca Store is a fun-tastic entertainment and activity for kids. We really appreciate the fact that this app is a multiplayer game for kids, which is perfect or the iPad and also much more fun.

We love the transformation of the app for the iDevice, compared to a propper toy store. This app is certainly educational and extremely fun at the same time! Thumbs up!
