Are you already familiar with the Tizzy Veterinarian app? Basically, Tizzy Monster Pet Vet is the same game, just with monster pets, that kids will need to take care of. This monster edition is available for iPad. iPhone, Android and Kindle fire devices. Just in time for Halloween, this monster Vet game is being offered for free, well at least for iOS – just in case that this game is also offered for free on all other devices, you’ll find out through us as well. (UPDATE: unfortunately not free anymore). In this review we’ll discuss whether or not this app is worth the purchase.

Just like the original Veterinarian version with real animals, kids need to treat and take care of little monsters and their little ailments. The monster vet seems to already enjoy a good reputation with the little monster pets, because the waiting room is always packed with cute, scary monsters. Kids can choose between 6 different patients, whereby some monster pets remind us of cats and dogs.

Imaginative mini-games and puzzles for toddlers

Each monster is being X-rayed before the actual treatment can begin. Kids always discover four different areas, which need to be treated. The mini-games are diversified but kept simple. Kids can listen to the monsters heartbeat, trim feathers and prescribe the cute pets tablets.

Similar to the Dr. Panda apps, the mini-games are often solved with a couple of finger touches, which makes this app perfect for toddlers, who have only little experience with touch-devices. Nevertheless, we’d prefer more comprehensive mini-games, as a lot of older kids also like to play these games – but will be unchallenged with these mini-games.

The app developers have originally announced to offer this app permanently for free – as they released their similar app “Tizzy Zoo Veterinarian” at the same time. We really like the Monster version “Tizzy Monster Pet Vet” regardless of Halloween as a free app, even if it was only offered for free on iOS devices. However as a purchase app, we’d rather recommend you to buy the so called “Tizzy Zoo Vet”, which we will introduce to you in more details soon.
