Space Mathematics
educational math learning-apps for kids | iPad iPhone
When i was little, i always thought that maths should be shot to the moon and most of my maths teachers too, but at my age, we didn’t get the joy of those nowadays existing great maths-learning apps for kids, as you get them today. We want to introduce you to two really good math learning apps for kids: “Space mathematics” One is with Additions and Subtractions and the other one has Divisions and Multiplications. Both educational apps are practically the same just using the different calculations.
Meteorites are threatening our planet Earth and in comparison to our momentarily real threat of the meteorites hitting us, this kids app has actually got some really good defensive missiles, which are aimed to destroy the meteorites. The multiple choice answers are basically presented as those missiles and the meteorites contain the actual arithmetic problem. Kids will get excitement from this math learning-game by having to answer the arithmetic problem as quickly as possible, as those meteorites keep on coming closer and therefore leaving kids with only a short amount of time to solve the calculations or even to defend themselves in that case.
This app works mainly for it’s calculations, so there’s hardly any text.
Brilliant calculator app for kids included!
This app contains a brilliant calculator and is therefore a really good calculator app for kids!
In the plus/minus game is really nice calculator, which displays the whole calculation which gets entered. It’s just a shame, that this feature is not included in the other app “Division and Multiplication”, because the calculator can only add and subtract.
At least you get a fantastic Multiplications “Times-table” with the other app, where kids can take a look and get help with their times tables without any pressure.
With Space mathematics, answers need to be given quite fast. Even adults at the difficulty level 3 will probably start to sweat, at least with the divisions. Maybe even the first difficulty level for math novices in first grade, might overchallenge them a little.
We also got to add the fact that the actual calculation flies off with the meteorite and therefore keeps on getting smaller and smaller. We would have liked to have had an alternative mode for this matter, which might have solved the actual arithmetic problem in the background and therefore would have been visible the whole time.
We do however recommend both educational apps, especially as they only cost $ 0.99 which is a real bargain. The apps are completely ad-free and have no in-app purchases at the time of this review. Also no facebook buttons.
