Potty Training App for toddlers: Learning with the animals
✔ iPad + iPhone ✔ Android ✔ Kindle Fire | toddlers app
Funny ain’t it? Well we’re very keen on this kids app idea which seems very interesting and unique. This “Potty Training” app wants to interactively help and show kids how to use the potty.
The app uses the help of some very cute animals, who all need to desperately go to the loo. If the app kind of reminds you of the app “Nighty Night” you’re quite right, only that you don’t lie the animals down to sleep, but instead, the animals are simply brought to the potty.
Kids will hear an Narrator at the beginning of this app (multilingual), whilst the landscape with the different animals slowly moves along on the screen, so that kids will have seen all of the animals available.
There are 5 animals and 2 children that can be placed on many different kind of potties.
The animals are first. The little lion cub begins with his little “i need a wee-wee dance”.
Followed by the other animals such as the horse, the kitten, the chicks…
The little puppy even drives along in his red car.
The children come last, where the little “i need a wee-wee dance” looks even more amusing and also leaves no doubt about what they need to do. The intention of this app is clear – young children and toddlers are supposed to deal with the issue “potty” and imitate exactly what they have done and played, with the animals in the app.
There are a lot of books about this issue, which you can read to and look at with your children. The advantages of this app has to be the narrator, who introduces the subject and all of the interactions, as those animals won’t go on the potty by themselves. However, the influence for children is limited to tapping on the animal and the Potty only – and that to us, is a little too little.
Improvements and updates are already underway
The good news: The developer is already working on new updates and improvements and has also sent us sketches of the planned updates.
More interactive elements, for example a Mouse hole, a bird by the window, a fish in the water, a moving ball etc. are coming soon.
Our wish is, for kids to be able to move the animals to the potty themselves with their fingers. At the moment, the animals go on their own, after the potty has been touched or tapped on with a finger.
Tip: If kids wish to only take the animals to the potty quickly, you can skip the introduction on the main screen.
