Pizza Factory for Kids | New iPad and iPhone kids app
Today we want to introduce you to a brand new Pizza-chef game app for kids: Pizza Factory for kids! The app is available for iPad and iPhone. The ingredients in this kids app are so amazing, just as the Pizza toppings are, the use of those different kind of toppings will be explained later on. The game is much more complex and diversified, compared to other Pizza apps, which we have seen and tested. A big part of the special features is hidden in the course of the game, which means that they need to be unlocked by kids first, which also keeps them interested and will definitely extend the game fun.
First of all, kids can choose between missions and a free game. You will also see a shop, but don’t worry, there are no in-app purchases in this kids app. The shop makes the game a lot more interesting and more complex, where you can unlock different ingredients and specialities for the free Pizza baking mode. The currency is generated in the missions for free.
The different missions are Pizza orders, of course. The Pizza dough needs to be prepared exactly as the customers wishes. You will need to be very precise, as it’s not just about the correct choice of ingredients, but also the decorating, which gives the game a puzzle like character. Kids can go wild in the free mode, but in the missions, the slice of tomato and the other ingredients need to placed on the exact position. This can get a little bit tricky and could need a bit more tolerance for our likes. On the other side, it also teaches kids to be precise and to concentrate.
After decorating the Pizza, the Pizza will need to go into the oven, where kids will also need to watch out for the exact timing. The correct baking time is signalized with an arrow whilst the bar is slowly filling up, when the bar is close to the arrow, the Pizza needs to be pulled out of the oven. This gives younger kids the opportunity to play this app too. If the Pizza stays in the oven for longer, it obviously gets burnt and you will see the result of this too, when the Pizza is removed.
Valuable educational games
Just as you start to think you know what this app is all about, the app surprises you with more new game elements. All of a sudden the Pizza dough is not ready yet, but needs to be prepared with the right ingredients first. Therefore you’ll need to mix the flour, salt, yeast, water and oil before you can roll it out on the table.
We also like other features and details of Pizza Factory: the dough is not ready by only a few swipe movements, the dough basically gets bigger by more movements and by moving the rolling pin in many different directions.
Kids will also occasionally approach a money-game, where the correct sum needs to be counted and placed on the plate. This is really nice however, younger kids may get a little overchallenged with this, which has made us change the age recommendation to 5 or even 6 years.
Fun and entertaining Pizza toppings
The actual Pizza shapes are very fanciful and definitely hit the kids taste in Pizza. When the cat orders a Pizza, kids will decorate the Pizza dough in the shape of a fish. The toppings of the cats Pizza are also pretty fun, as those are different color fish bones, which kids will need to collect in another mini game, out of garbage cans behind the Pizza parlor.
This game has also got an educational aspect as the fish bones need to be sorted by colors too.
There are still many more games to discover, not to forget the shop and the free game mode. There’s also a small Pizza delivery labyrinth game, where kids will need to drive a scooter, but also many different kind of guests are awaiting kids such as robots, aliens and animals.
Pizza Factory for kids app rating
Pro’s
(+) many missions and other activities = very comprehensive!
(+) $ 1.99 good value for money for an universal kids app
(+) sounds and music are really appropriate and match well with the Pizza game (the clatter of the dishes etc).
Neutral but important:
(!) There are many texts and notes in this game, which is not very usual for this type of game category. Nevertheless, most of the games are pretty intuitive for kids to play, apart from the money game.
Con’s
(-)The Fruit Ninja game – the vegetables and fruits don’t get sliced via finger-swipe, but through tapping on them
(-) a countdown is displayed before each new game with 3,2,1 – this seems a little misplaced, we’re not really in a race game are we?!
(-) Some Pizzas need to be decorated very precisely – a much bigger tolerance would be appreciated and much better.
Pizza Factory for kids is a surprisingly comprehensive and imaginative kids app from the cooking-game apps category, which we can definitely recommend you!
