The Software company Stormcloud from Scotland have particularly  specialized on fun origami apps for kids, also because their origami crafting apps don’t just come with crafting instructions, they are also full and complete games. Their first app “Mr. Shingu’s Paper Zoo” was released in the summer, which is available for all devices, with many various Zoo animals, which can even have babies.

The app developers have come up with something special for Halloween and they are also extremely generous. The Halloween special edition “Mr. Shingu’s Paper Halloween” is absolutely FREE, and also pretty comprehensive for a free app, which also comes ad-free and with no in-app purchases.

Kids can craft 6 different spooky Halloween origami figures:
* an origami Halloween pumpkin with face
* an origami Dracula
* an origami skeleton
* an origami Frankenstein
* an origami witch (which looks like a goblin)

The origami figures are being digitally folded with bi-colored origami paper, in the best and most realistic possible way.

Discovering creepy details

For kids it is really worth to check out and explore the landscape and the haunted house. There are plenty more surprises to be discovered, such as a howling wolf in the moon, Zombie arms on the gravestones and various shadows at the windows. Clouds can be moved together in the main game and create a thundercloud – try it out.

A mini-game

A small mini-game brings plenty of alternation, where kids can personally navigate Mr. Shingu. The Japanese master of origami (is by the way a real person!) has to gather all Halloween candies in this game, without touching the paper monsters, which he has only just folded.

Mr. Shingu’s Paper Zoo (animals) is one of the best origami apps for kids and we therefore particularly like this free Halloween app. Another full version of the Origami series will be available soon: Mr. Shingu’s Paper Ocean – a beautiful underwater marine world with whales, fishes and dolphins – we’re really looking forward to this!
