Mike the Knight – the Great Gallop | horse racing kids app

Mike the Knight is no longer just a TV series, kids can now play with Mike the Knight, in his very own kids app, which is now available for the iPad and iPhone.
The app is called “Mike the Knight – the Great Gallop”. In this kids app, kids get to jump over obstacles with Mike’s steed Galahad, whilst helping people in town, collecting treasures and many other missions await kids on their journey with Mike. This app is perfect for kids who may already be familiar with Mike the Knight, and for those who are big fans of Mike, will know that Mike the Knight will want kids to play this app perfectly well. As Mike the Knight always says: “ Be a Knight, do it right!”.

There are three different worlds to play in this kids app, where Mike will ride with his faithful steed along some goregeous scrolling landscapes, which move from left to right. Whilst riding, kids can collect some great items such as cakes etc. When kids come across some small obstacles, they can simply overcome them by tapping on the screen, however when it comes to bigger obstacles, it is necessary for Mike to be galloping with his steed, to be able to jump over them. In case kids react a little too late, the horse will just slow down on speed, but the game will not be over, kids will just loose out on extra points on the final score.

The app is really good and it all works pretty well, however we would have liked the app to have a bit more alternations. There could have been a little bit more of everything to be honest: bigger range of landscapes, more obstacles, more extras and maybe even some surprises.

As with many other kids apps which are often trademark licensed by popular children’s programmes and Movies, Mike the Knight is also just an average, solid app for toddlers and kids. Nevertheless, this app is most probably one of the most wanted apps for kids and therefore really worth the purchase.
