Mike the Knight: Knight in Training Game Pack
✔ iPad + iPhone ✔ Android ✔ Kindle Fire
Mike the Knight – one popular Kids programme, has been treated with another app. Whilst the first Mike the Knight – the Great Gallop app was solely a Horse racing game, the new Knight app offers some great adventures on the iPad and iPhone with six different activities for kids, which we want to introduce to you today.
1. Fruit Shoot
Kids can practice their archery skills and see how many fruits they can shoot with some harmless suction-cup darts, which is also one of our favorite games out of them all.
One clue about the navigation: The bow is drawn realistically, which means that you’ll have to pull backwards with your fingers. If your kids have never done this before, then it might be advisable to help them out a little bit.
2. Match Mission and 3. Jigsaw Jumble
Even those classic games are offered with some nice “Mike the Knight” motives. The implementation is solid and perfect.
4. Paint the Castle
A little bit more unusual is the next game: Paint the castle, where shapes are painted on the walls of Glendragon Castle with many different colors. The colors and shapes are named, a small indication flag however, hints out which motif is being searched. The game is much more fun than you may think at first, as it takes more arrows to fill out the whole area and the paintbrush-arrows also splash against the wall quite nicely.
5. Seek and Find
Search the scroll for the hidden items. Basically one specific objects needs to be found on a papyrus roll, which means the paper needs to be scrolled.
Between weapons, flags, swords and fruits, kids will also search for Easter eggs, which won’t necessarily upset infants.
6. Jam Tart Fling
With up to 40 levels of play, kids can help Mike to protect Glendragon from the Vikings’ mischief. Mike uses a catapult to throw some delicious Jam tarts at the wicked Vikings. The game reminds us of Angry Birds.
The difficulty level in this game is significantly higher than in the other games, because sometimes you have to make some pretty difficult dead flight-curves to hit the entrenched Vikings.
Mike the Knight (2) kids app rating
The games are consistently solid and entertaining. All in all, they provide a beautiful and varied collection of games. The purchase price of 2.69 € is okay for a licensed game.
