Lola’s Fruit Shop Sudoku | educational kids app for iPad & iPhone
Whether your kids are familiar with logic games, such as Sudoku or not, doesn’t matter because Lola’s Fruit shop Sudoku is easy as pie. Kids will learn Sudoku in a fun, simple and educative way.
The difficulty levels regulate the game, so that kids don’t get over- or underchallenged. Even kids at the ages of 4 years, play with simple rules such as fruits instead of numbers.
Primary school pupils can choose numbers and a higher difficulty level, but still get hints and help in case they get stuck.
Basically all columns and squares need to be filled with a missing item. Those items are usually numbers, but in the easy mode, kids will start off with fruits, which works just as well.
When kids play Sudoku, they need to make sure that each type of fruit or number only shows up once in each line or column. The more fruit and numbers are placed, the easier it gets for kids, as they will have a better overview at their game grid. Kids will learn this game very quickly and even if they never played Sudoku before, it’s almost self-explanatory.
Lola’s fruit shop Sudoku is undoubtedly one of the most valuable and most sensible educational games for the iPad and iPhone.
The very cute and friendly Panda Bear Lola is presenting the game whilst kids are playing. She gives out hints and also praises kids for their right answers and solutions.
The game provides a full audio response – those who wish can also use many other languages such as English or French, which might also help kids learn differnt languages.
The game also provides kids with a lovely reward area – the fruit shop!
Kids can choose one of the fruits that are shown on the plates, after each level that they have solved.
This little addition to the actual Sudoku game is quite a nice accompaniment.
Our only point of criticism we’d like to mention is, that we’d prefer it, if the sound and music could be separately deactivated from one another because as we know, after a while the music can get quite annoying.
We don’t want to finish the review with a critique, we would actually like to praise this app for providing a parents area, which is protected by a little mathematical task, so that kids won’t be able to get lost on this or other Internet sites.
All in all, we absolutely love this educational, fun and entertaining kids app!
