LEGO Harry Potter apps | years 1-4 and 5-7 – for iPad and iPhone
Today we want to introduce you to two really good Lego Harry Potter apps, both of which have a pretty heavy content.
With the first fantastic Lego Harry Potter app (years 1-4) you can experience Harry Potter’s first four years at Hogwarts. In the second great app (years 5-7) you can witness the last part of the Harry Potter SAGA whilst playing Harry Potter’s last year at Hogwarts, of course Lego style. With those awesome apps you get to experience a fantastic gameplay, that features lessons, spell-casting, dueling and much more for players of all ages!
Both Lego Harry Potter apps are suitable for kids, who can read by themselves, as they’ll need to solve many tricky riddles in those two games, which are also only shown via screenshots.
These apps are also suitable for adults and older kids, as the difficulty level gets quite demanding with the complexity of the game.
Graphics and sound
Typically for Lego video-games is that they have no audio response, but they do however have the original Harry Potter soundtrack, which will give you an immediate Harry Potter feeling.
The graphics of the game are absolutely stunning and impeccable. The Lego 3D game setting even makes Hogwarts look magical. Every scenery comes really close to the original settings of the film. Lego has done a really good job at transfering the Harry Potter world into a Lego world.
Controls
Harry and his friends are being steered via a virtual analog stick in combination with other touch screen controls. There has only just recently been an update for the second Harry Potter game 5-7. You can now also steer in combination with both control options, whereas before, you were only able to play with the action buttons.
It’s advisable for you to take a look at the options menu before you start playing, so you can adjust everything to your needs.
The controls are easy to use, even though you do need to learn how to perform magic, because the spells are transfered onto the iPad via finger-swipe.
Therefore you need to smoothly draw a rather difficult arrow, to lift up a heavy object via spell – see the screenshot below:
Gameplay & size
We advise you to start of with the first game 1-4, where you’ll quickly get used to the controls etc. You’ll quickly want to purchase the second one 5-7 after that, even though you have a good ammount to play through in the first game. You’ll get full entertainment during both of the games. Both apps are great fun!
You cannot only play each story as missions, you can also choose them as a “free game” to search for the many extras such as; solving riddles and exploring the surroundings. If you have a habbit of collecting things, you’ll definitely love all the Harry Potter apps.
It’s almost impossible to solve each riddle and each secret during the first go.
You’ll need further characters which you can swap around during the game.
There are 100 of them which need to be unlocked first.
Value-for-money
The Harry Potter apps are one of the high-priced kids apps costing $4.99, however the apps are regularly on offer for $0.99 for a short time on the AppStores.
If you follow us on facebook or twitter, we can keep you up to date on offers like that.
Both games are still recommendable, even at a high price as such, not only for Harry Potter fans. There are many adventures waiting to be discovered.
Both LEGO Harry Potter apps are universal apps for the iPad and iPhone, which kind of makes up for the price really.
Top best apps for kids rating
Both Harry Potter apps are adventurous games for kids and adults. They have a wide range of riddles and adventures which will keep you busy over the winter season. Also the dark atmosphere of Hogwarts kind of fits in with the dark winter months ahead of us.
