Knight’s Castle
fun & educational kids app
Especially boys aged 4+ will be looking forward to the recently published “knight’s castle” children’s app for the iPhone & iPad.
There are 8 different games altogether, which are hidden in the castle and on the nearby landscape.
The kids will earn a good knowledge about the medieval castles with this amusing and easy-learning game.
In one of the rooms the children are able to dress up the knight with the original suit of armor. While they are dressing them up, they soon realize that the suit of armor is not just made out of one mold but out of many different pieces.
The typical knight may seem a little strange to some children, but through this game however, it becomes clear that underneath every fierce looking knight’s helmet, there is still a human behind it.
Knight’s castle is also perfectly suitable for just plain casual amusement.
Above that, it offers a lot of connection points for the continuing knight’s research.
When my daughter had played enthusiastically with this app, all her knight’s books had suddenly become interesting again. My daughter had already learned a few things out of the books, which she was able to transfer to in the app, for example the blacksmith.
She was truly amazed whilst helping the knight’s castle with producing their own swords, by firstly melting the iron and then having to cool the ruffian in the water trough.
Her favorite games are “fishing in the moat” and “chopping fruits” at the market – where you can eventually convince yourself with your own manufactured sword in fruit ninja style.
No one gets hurt in this game, apart from a few bruises from the horse tournament. There will however be some sliced up pumpkins from the archery and the fruit slicing at the market.
I can honestly recommend this knights-app. Not only because the Demo version is free but also because looking at this whole app, is very fulfilling.
2 of the 8 games are unrestrainedly playable on the free version.
The full version via In-app-purchase costs 1.99$ and is worth every penny.
We changed to the full version within minutes, but please see for yourself. We’re really looking forward to some more games of the knight’s castle, which has been produced by the App-producer Jörg Winterstein.
Finally a proper and amusing kid’s app with a wonderful medieval theme.
Knight’s castle is a universal-app. Trumpets and fanfares please!
