Dr. Panda’s Airport | new kids app with lots of mini games
Kids app for iPad, iPhone, Android and Kindle fire | for ages 3-6 years
The Dr. Panda’s kids app developers (Tribe Play), belong to one of the most productive kids app developers of this branch, as they have released at least 1 valuable kids app a month.
Up until now, nor the quality nor the breadth of the apps have suffered from the rapid publication interval, neither has the new app: Dr. Panda’s Airport.
So this time the airport it is
The concept of this kids app is known from the other Dr. Panda Apps: Many small airport based activities are hidden on a big panoramic Airport landscape, which are entertaining and occasionally educational for children. This time, we also get a little letters and numbers game, which are especially suitable for kindergarten kids.
Therefore, passengers need to be driven to the correct gate with the matching letter and the correct phone number needs to be dialed at the payphone. Due to this app, kids will also get to know a payphone, which are becoming pretty rare at stations and airports nowadays.
We carry on with the passport control (choosing the right stamp) and of course the security check, which has been designed a little too simple for our likes. Only rarely one of the animals get checked with the body scanner and yet it would be so much more fun and more interesting with the beeping hand-metal detector. Also the evaluation of the scanned suitcase pictures with the forbidden items are missing.
The Hippo is still looking pretty innocent. Are it’s pockets really empty and will he be able to take his flight to Jamaica? You’ll find out after the security check.
The Tower game is really interesting, where the adjacent plane needs to be assigned to the correct color-coordinated runway. This reminds us of the App Store bestseller Flight Control, only that planes cannot collide in this Dr. Panda app.
We have only discovered one of the mini games later on, as the related luggage cart is not always on the runway. In this game, kids can transport the luggage to the plane, whilst also being able to operating the loading dock.
Dr. Panda surely provides insights behind the scenes of an airport and this aspect really needs to be praised, as there are also many specialized airport books for children, who are interested in this subject.
You can also check out our YouTube video to find out more about the other mini games that are available in this Dr. Panda’s Airport app.

Dr.Panda’s Airport | kids app rating
Two games less, but at one point or another more complex tasks would have be a lot better for future Dr. Panda apps, that’s what we reckon.
Pro’s
(+) many new mini games
(+) interesting insights of an airport
(+) family-friendly price without in-app purchases
(+) Available for all devices iOS, Android, Kindle fire from the start
Con’s
(-) we would have preferred more depth in some of the games i.e. the security check
(-) The loading times are a little nerve-wrecking, even if they are covered up with a small airplane scene.
Top best apps for kids rating: 4 stars
