Cut the Rope: Time Travel
new logic app with the cute Om Nom
The cute green monster is now back with it’s new app and this time, there are two of them. Om Nom will take you on a journey through the past, where he will meet his ancestors. You will now have to feed two hungry monsters in each level, with some candy.
This logic game is made for clever kids and will impress with it’s adorable graphics and many different level-worlds, which will guarantee you hours of game fun.
The time travel machine will take the monster Om Nom back to ancient Egypt, but also on a pirate ship and a medieval castle will be well visited. But never mind where Om Nom is at, he will always have cravings for candy, which always seems to be out of reach at first.
Om Nom will only reach the candy with your help, which is usually attached to ropes, which are the crucial element of the game in this logic puzzler. The ropes can be cut by swiping across the with you finger, at least the standard ropes of Cut the Rope.
There will be big metal chains later on, which can only be separated with a propeller. Especially when you think you have the game all figured out, new gameplay elements appear and new combinations along with the ropes have been integrated such as, blowing balloons, trampoline’s and many more surprises, such as time freezing by pressing a button.
All new gameplay elements are always explained at the start – not only kids can profit from this by the way.
The difficulty level of this game is child and user-friendly at first, can however get pretty challenging and frustrating later on.
Luckily enough, you don’t have to collect all of the stars to carry on or unlock more packages, because otherwise the temptation would be greater to use the “super powers”, which are available as an tricky In-app purchase, where you can direct the candy with telepathy.
What parents should know
As with all casual games, cut the rope is also a game which offers in-app purchases, with which you can unlock levels earlier, without having to collect the required ammount of stars. We recommend you to deactivate the in-app purchases in the settings.
Cut the Rope – an overview of the previous games
Just a quick reminder of the other two Cut the Rope games, which haven’t become less appealing at all actually. It all started off with the Great first Cut the Rope (iPad | iPhone, Kindle fire, Android), which has now got up to 300 levels. Afterwards, the second one followed with Cut the Rope Experiments (iPad | iPhone, Android, Kindle fire). In between those, another small free game was released, the Om Nom Candy Flick app – an augmented reality mini game.
It is recommendable for kids and beginners to start off with the first Cut the Rope game, as it makes much more sense for them, as the difficulty level are a little easier, even if you only need to feed a little monster.
