The best Caillou apps for kids | Caillou stickers & Caillou’s world

For the price of one pack of stickers, you might as well get yourself a great Caillou app for kids, for the iPad and iPhone, on the App Store. With “Caillou stickers”, you get 138 Caillou stickers, which kids can place onto many different wallpapers.
The good thing is, these stickers will still be sticky after using them several times. What else? Well, let’s take a closer look at this kids app and see if we can find some more great surpirses.

As soon as you start this kids app, the wonderful music of Caillou greets us, which is always on the Caillou kids series and also stays stuck in our head. The very tidy menu leads us straight to our sticker-possibilities, without having to take any detours.
There are seven different and beautiful Caillou backgrounds all together, which also show kids the normal and natural living environment such as the Kindergarden/pre-school, a playground, a park or a children’s birthday and so on.

Kids need to choose a scene and then pick a sticker via drag and drop, from the bar on the bottom of the screen, which can be scrolled.

The Caillou app, works completely without the use of any voice output.
Each sticker has been given a nice sound effect though. A bee hums, a bell rings etc.

What we would have liked, is a pnoramic picture which can also be scrolled just like you can with the Buildo sticker apps for kids. The stickers are also limited due to the width of the picture screen, this does however, ease the navigation for younger kids.
We think that they should have rather had left out the e-mail option, which enables kids to send their picture as an e-mail rather than saving on the size of the background picture, even if we actually like that option. We think that it would have been enough and best for kids to be able to just save their pictures in a file on the iPad or iPhone.

Caillou’s sticker app is a real bargain and one of the best kids apps bargains around on the App Store.

Caillou’s World – Another great Caillou kids app!

There is yet another kids app with Caillou, which is all about learning letters, words, spelling and phonetics. The app might be a little bit pricier than the other one, however it has much more quantity than the sticker app. The scenes are similar to a coloring-book at the start and are therefore not colored in, only black and white. One object is always highlighted in color and also some letters are shown.

Kids will now need to pick the correct letter, with which the word begins. If they pick the wrong one, a different object will be shown, which starts with the chosen letter, which is didactically and skilfully solved. The game is separately available for the iPad and iPhone and is very useful and supporting for kids who are learning the alphabet and vocabulary. A very interesting app, which we are also giving a 4 star app rating.
