Beanie’s Musical Instruments | cute kids app for learning musical instruments with Teddy Beanie
✔ iPad + iPhone | kids app for ages 2-6 yrs.
A new music app for toddlers is about to storm the App Store Charts: Beanie’s Musical Instruments where a little teddy answers questions about classical instruments, what they’re called and also how they sound. We have looked at this nice app and in our YouTube trailer, you can also hear some of the musical instruments.
✔Multilingual: English, Chinese, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian Nynorsk, Spanish
Discovering musical instruments
A total of 24 various musical instruments are introduced and played to children by the lovely little teddy bear Beanie. Those are presented on a stage and the red curtains can be opened by kids themselves…After the teddy has shown and played the instrument to the kids, the name of the instrument is shown and read out by a narrator. After that, the curtains are drawn again and Beanie is getting another instrument.
The following instruments are being introduced: Piano, violin, viola, cello, double bass, harp, guitar, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, horn, tuba, timpani, xylophone, glockenspiel, snare drum, bass drum, tambourine, cymbals and triangle.
Peekaboo games say Hello
Beanie’s Musical Instruments is similar to the popular Peekaboo apps, where for example, a Barn door shakes, animal noises appear and kids need to guess which animals are hidden behind the doors. Unfortunately, Beanie’s musical instruments cannot be guessed behind the drawn curtains, because the acoustic hint is missing. We would have preferred it, if the musical instruments would have made some sounds whilst the curtains were closed.
Day and Night mode
A really nice change is the alternative night mode, where the teddy bear plays and presents the instruments infront of a night scenery with stars and the curtains also have a different color.
Two classical works
The presentation of the instruments leads to a concert, where children can listen to two different classical songs and thus experience the instruments in action.

Beanie’s Musical Instruments | Music kids app rating
All in all, Beanie’s musical instruments is a very nice app, no wonder really with it being presented by such a cute little teddy bear. The musical instruments are presented, demonstrated and announced in an interesting and age-appropriate manner, but unfortunately cannot be tried out by kids themselves. For those of you who’d like more information and interactions on classical music, need to visit Villa Cecilia , which is also suitable for older children and the most comprehensive kids app on the topic “classical music”.
